PORTLAND – The man arrested for reportedly making threats with a gun at Brooklyn Park Sunday pleaded not guilty on all counts.
At 10:41 a.m. on Sunday, police arrested 49-year-old Michael Daniel Moore after finding two handguns and a “suspicious device” in his bag, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.
The bomb squad disabled the device and determined it was a small homemade explosive in a small plastic bottle. Brooklyn Park, at 1001 Southeast Haig Street, was temporarily closed.
Moore was booked in the Multnomah County Jail on felony charges of possession of a firearm, menacing, and manufacturing an possession of a destructive device.
He pleaded not guilty on all counts Monday. A grand jury was scheduled for July 26. Moore was not released from custody.
