LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. –Teams of police from multiple agencies fired a slew of tear gas canisters at an apartment complex before bringing out four people in handcuffs in Lake Oswego Saturday afternoon.
Just before 2 p.m., officers near 2nd Street and D Avenue reportedly fired 8 or 9 canisters through the window of an apartment.
Earlier, officers from multiple agencies, including Portland police’s bomb squad, Lake Oswego police and the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office were staged nearby on 1st Street and B Avenue.
Police were responding after a woman reported she was the victim of domestic violence. After she left, her alleged attacker barricaded himself inside the apartment with three of his friends. After police shot gas into the apartment, the men came out.
Police arrested Christopher McKray on assault, menacing, strangulation and kidnapping charges. Two other men were arrested on outstanding warrants. The fourth man was not arrested.
