PORTLAND - Police arrested the suspected driver of a stolen BMW that led authorities on a chase at speeds of more than 100 miles-an-hour.

Officers began chasing the vehicle near Woodburn, but lost the car along I-205 about ten minutes later. West Linn police later found the car in Mary S. Young State Park.

A detective at the scene where the car was towed located 22-year-old Brittany Dawn Chapman, of Springfield, nearby.

Evidence led them to believe she was the driver, police said. Chapman was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, attempt to elude, reckless driving and methamphetamine, after a glass pipe with residue was found in her purse.

The vehicle was caught speeding by an I-5 traffic camera. About ten seconds later, the flashing red lights of Oregon State Troopers could be seen.
