SALEM, Ore. -- Voters pamphlets for this year's primary elections will be mailed out Wednesday to all of the 2.1 million registered voters in Oregon, according to a spokesperson for the Secretary of State.
Secretary of State Kate Brown's office said that 292 candidates had filed for federal and state office. There were also a number of county, city and local elections, and candidates, on the primary ballots.
Primaries will be held this year for each of Oregon's five Congressional seats, one U.S. Senate seat, state governor, state treasurer, all of the seats in the Oregon State House of Representatives, and one half of the Oregon State Senate.
There were also various elected judgeships on the ballot, along with two ballot measures, said Don Hamilton, a spokesperson for Secretary Brown.
