PORTLAND – No one was hit when a shot was fired during a fight at a Northeast Portland bar early Saturday morning, police said.
Officers showed up to Jody’s Bar and Grill at 12035 Northeast Glisan Street just after midnight upon hearing reports of a shooting. They discovered a spent shell casing and a bullet hole in an adjacent Taco Bell.
Police later arrested 30-year-old Kace Talton who was stopped at Northeast 8th Street and Cleveland Avenue in Gresham shortly after the shooting, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.
Police found a handgun that they believe was used in the shooting inside the vehicle, Simpson said.
Security at the bar told police the shooting started after a fight spilled out into the parking lot. The intended victim sped off.
Gang Enforcement Team detectives were investigating the shooting.
Talton was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and reckless endangerment.
Anyone with additional information was asked to call 503-823-2056.
