PORTLAND – Police arrested a man who was brandishing a firearm in the parking lot of a bar in Northeast Portland after shots were fired early Saturday morning, police said.
Officers found evidence of gunfire in the parking lot of Don’s Dugout at 11642 Northeast Halsey Street shortly after 2:30 a.m., said Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.
Fifteen minutes later, police responded to Jody’s Bar & Grill at 12035 Northeast Glisan Street and arrested 29-year-old Gerry Cunningham who was brandishing the firearm, Simpson said.
Police have not found any victims in the shooting but recovered a handgun.
Cunningham was booked into Multnomah County Jail on crimes including felony possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon, Simpson said.
