WILSONVILLE, Ore. – A deadly crash involving two commercial trucks and a passenger vehicle blocked all three southbound lanes of traffic on Interstate 5 near Wilsonville for several hours Monday night.
Police and firefighters responded to the scene around 5 p.m. The passenger vehicle was lodged underneath one of the commercial trucks in the right-hand lane on I-5, according to Oregon State Police.
Officers say the man driving the car died at the scene. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with an unknown injury.
Rush-hour traffic used the inside southbound shoulder to pass the crash scene, police said. The southbound off-ramp to Donald/Aurora was also closed.
Traffic started moving more freely by 9 p.m. Monday night.
