PORTLAND – It was the hottest day of the year so far in downtown Portland Saturday. The unseasonably warm May continued with temperatures reaching a high of 86 degrees, said KGW Meteorologist Rod Hill.
At PDX, temps have averaged more than 8 degrees above normal, which Hill said is almost unheard of.
Saturday, however, will be Portland’s last afternoon of partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the 80s.
Things will be nice on Mother’s Day with a few showers but mostly dry areas and temps in the 70s.
A cold front should head in to the metro area early Monday morning and we should see a period of steady rain in the morning.
