PORTLAND – A man robbed two employees at gunpoint at the Old Market Pub in Southwest Portland early Sunday morning, police said.
An employee told police that she closed the pub and was walking to her car with another employee shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Southwest Garden Home Road.
That’s when a man came running out of the bushes and pointed a gun at them, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.
The suspect then demanded both employees get in the victim’s car, drive to the pub, go inside and get money from the bar, Simpson said.
The suspect then told the victims to lie on the ground and fled in the victim’s car with an undisclosed amount of money, Simpson said.
Police said the suspect was a white male with a brown goatee. He was roughly 160 pounds, and 5-foot-9. He was wearing jeans, a white shirt and a black hat with a white mask. He was armed with a handgun.
Police were looking for the victim’s car, a 2005 silver Ford Focus with license plate 091 BMA. The vehicle has missing hubcaps and a damaged front grill.
Anyone who sees the stolen car was asked to immediately call 911.
