ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) -- A Roseburg man who pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a girl has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison.
Prosecutors say 31-year-old Joshua Justice knew the victim through a family member and took care of her after school hours.
The girl was 15 when she told a counselor about the abuse in 2011. She said it occurred between 2004 and 2007, when she was younger than 12.
The News-Review of Roseburg reports (http://is.gd/IcWSXs ) that no family or friends for the abuser or the victim attended Thursday's sentencing.
Justice must register as a sex offender and will have lifetime post-prison supervision after he is released.
He told Judge Ronald Poole he knows what he did was wrong.
