PORTLAND -- According to Real Simple magazine, Portland is the second-most convenient, time-saving city in the country. And Seattle is the best.
The latest issue of the publication ranked the top five "time-saving" cities as Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Boston and Minneapolis.
The magazine used five different categories in the survey: getting around, health & safety, information & technology, "green" time savers and lifestyle.
Of the five different categories, Seattle scores highest on the "green" time savers because of the number of farmers' markets and how bicycle-friendly Seattle is. Seattle's 22.5 overall score edged out number two, Portland, which scored a 21.5. San Francisco scored a 21, Boston 20 and Minneapolis 19.5
