PORTLAND -- Is nothing sacred? Local social media has been buzzing for the last few days about a man trying to sell a bicycle stolen from a Portland clown.
Witness Aaron Brown was approached Thursday by a man offering to sell him a 'tall bike' for $20.
Olive Root Beer, a Portland clown, said someone stole her yellow "Freak Bike" from her yard last Thursday.
She's the partner of well-know street performer Dingo the Clown. Dingo and his partner Olive Root Beer (pictured right) make their living 'telling stories to children's groups', according to a post on BikePortland.
The two ride their tall bikes around Portland a lot and have been featured on the show Portlandia.
The image of the stolen bike has circulated through Facebook and Twitter. Dingo's Facebook page alone has more than 350 shares of the picture.
Root Beer said she was sad about the bike being stolen but is keeping her clown smile going.
"It's actually amazing that we've had such an effect on the community that people are actually looking out for us," Root Beer said. "That's the funny things about it is that someone was savvy enough to snap a picture."
If you have information about the bike, contact the police or BikePortland.
