PORTLAND – A Portland radio station will provide free gas Friday afternoon to customers at an Aloha gas station.
Starting at 3 p.m., the first 98 vehicles in line at the Plaid Pantry on SW 206th Avenue and Baseline Road, in Aloha, will each get 10 gallons of free gas, courtesy of Portland radio station KUPL.
Station employees will be handing out special free gas vouchers to those 98 listeners, as well as tickets to upcoming KUPL concerts and various prizes to others in the queue.

“We are always looking for ways to make life a little easier for our listeners and were really grateful to the Plaid Pantry staff in Aloha for agreeing to work with us on this,” said Scott Mahalick with Alpha Broadcasting. “There’s no question it will be hectic out there this afternoon, but lots of people are going to benefit from this and that’s the idea.”
The Washington County Sheriff’s Department will help with traffic control throughout the promotion.
