PORTLAND -- Portland police and a Multnomah County dive team recovered the body of a man Sunday morning in the Columbia Slough, under the Interstate over pass near M.L. King Boulevard.

The identity of the 38-year-old man is being withheld until police notify relatives, said bureau spokeswoman Det. Mary Wheat.

The death is viewed as suspicious for now. The man was first reported missing on Nov. 19 and police received information that he had been seen in the area where his body was recovered.
