PORTLAND— The man killed inside a Southeast Portland home on Christmas Eve has been identified as Terry Lee Rolin, police said. The Oregon Medical Examiner performed the autopsy on Christmas and said Rolin died of a gunshot wound.
Around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday police responded to reports a domestic disturbance and gunshots in the 3700 block of Southeast 67th Avenue.
Police arrived to find one man suffering from critical injuries. Emergency responders tried to assist Rolin but the 61-year-old died on the scene, police said.
Homicide detectives were called to the location to investigate. The investigation continues, but they believe they have identified everyone involved and they say there is no danger to the public.
Officers spoke with the victim's family members who say there was some sort of disturbance just before the shooting, but they don't know what the fight was about.
"I'm very sad, very sad to hear that," added neighbor Elaine Badger.
