NEWTON, Mass. – A Portland hotel is the second-most pet friendly hotel in the entire nation, according to a survey conducted by TripAdvisor.

The survey respondents said Hotel Monaco in downtown Portland had amazing complimentary amenities and services including special bowls and beds for pets. They also raved about the optional doggie makeovers, a map of pet-friendly breweries, and Timmy, the hotel’s four-legged “director of pet relations.” But a stay a visit to the Hotel Monaco won’t come cheap – rooms average $330 a night.

Only one other Northwest hotel made the top 10. 9. The Sheraton Seattle Hotel was ranked No. 9. Fans mentioned the special Pet Welcome Pack, crammed with information and supplies for every traveler checking in with a furry companion. A night at Seattle’s Sheraton will ranges from $197 to $287 per night.

"The Hermitage also offers a dog-walking service, pet massages and on-site grooming." Making it AlGore's dog's hotel of choice. _____ Do they also offer free Woof-Fi so pets can get on-line?
