PORTLAND -- Tactical police raided a suspected Southeast Portland chop shop at daybreak Tuesday.
The address near 72nd and Crystal Springs Boulevard had been under surveillance a month, said Sgt. Randy Teis.
The property had a number of cars and motorcycles in various states of being dismantled, he said.
Investigators were initially tipped off by area residents who reported stolen vehicles in the neighborhood and the suspicion of criminal activity at the home.
Police believe the stolen cars were being taken apart and sold as parts.
Two people were taken into custody and stolen cars were seized by investigators. They only released the name of 22-year-old Jewell Marie Millspaugh (pictured), who was jailed for possession of a stolen vehicle, among other charges.
There may be more arrests as police sift through evidence, Teis said.
"Don't steal cars," he added. "We'll find you."
In addition to the stolen vehicles and parts, police said they found a signed Lebron James jersey and a mountain bike that had been taken as well.
