PORTLAND -- Portland Fire Bureau investigators were asking the public for help in finding a man seen starting a fire on TriMet bus.

The man tried to set a fire about 10:30 p.m. He was thought to have boarded in North Clackamas on a bus that went to downtown Portland.

Anyone with information was asked to call fire investigators at (503) 823-3791.

TriMet spokeswoman Bekki Witt said only Fire Bureau investigators could talk about the case. They could not be reached for comment late Friday afternoon.
