PORTLAND, Ore. -- Police are investigating two early-morning robberies near Northeast 26th and Alberta, including one in which a man was stabbed.
The first victim told police he was walking on Alberta when he was approached by three suspects who demanded his backpack, shoes and wallet. One of the suspects was armed with a knife. Police said the man dropped his property, ran away and called authorities.
Within a minute, police said a second victim was riding his bicycle on Alberta and the suspects demanded his cell phone and bike. The suspect with the knife stabbed the victim. The suspects left the area with the victim's bicycle.
The second victim was transported to a Portland hospital with a non-life-threatening stab wound.
The suspect with the knife was described as a white, in his mid-to-late 20s, 6 foot and 180 pounds with blonde hair, wearing a dark hoodie and pants.
A second suspect was described as an African-American man in his 20s wearing dark clothing. The third was described only as male.
