PORTLAND – Officers arrested an 18-year-old DUII suspect after she sped away from police, ran several red lights, and crashed into two vehicles late Friday, police said.
Just before 10 p.m., police pulled over Anna Lopatina after a bystander flagged them down about a suspected drunk driver at Northwest 3rd Avenue and Northwest Couch Street, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.
Lopatina immediately sped off but was spotted again near Southwest 5th Avenue and Southwest Pine Street. When officers tried to pull her over, she sped through several red lights, Simpson said.
Police then found her car crashed into two other vehicles at Southwest 5th Avenue and Southwest Salmon Street.
Lopatina was arrested for DUII and attempting to elude police. A passenger in the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
