MILWAUKIE, Ore. -- Deputies arrested a man in connection with the homicide of a Milwaukie woman early Thursday morning, said Sgt. Adam Phillips of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
Daniel Seale, 27, who was described by authorities as an acquaintance of Michelle Walker, 41, was arrested and charged with her murder. His first court appearance was scheduled for Thursday at 3 p.m.
Walker's body was found in an apartment on July 8. A neighbor told KGW he heard a loud argument between a man and a woman coming from the apartment before police arrived.
Deputies were dispatched about 3:30 p.m. to an apartment in the 4400 block of SE Roethe Road, said Deputy Marcus Mendoza. The victim's mother called police to report "suspicious circumstances" at her daughter's apartment, Mendoza said.
Neighbors told KGW Walker was a kind person, always willing to help others out.
"She would make extra food and come by and say, 'Evelyn I have some soup for you' and stuff like that," one neighbor said.
Another neighbor said the death was literally too close to home. He lives with his two teenage boys across the street. He said he also heard an argument between a couple, last weekend.
