Hillsboro, Ore. -- A Portland woman was driving drunk when she crashed into an Auto Zone store late Monday night, then fled, police said.

No one inside the store was hurt and employees called 911 with a description of the vehicle. They said the silver Dodge pickup truck backed up and sped off after smashing into the building.

A short time later, police spotted the truck on Highway 26 and pulled it over.

Driver Megan Spurgeon, 21, of Portland, was arrested and charged with DUII, hit-and-run, reckless driving and criminal mischief.

"Her blood-alcohol level was well-above the legal limit," said Sgt. Bob Ray with the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Damage to the Auto Zone store was estimated at more than $15,000.
