VANCOUVER – Two people were hurt when a pickup truck veered off the road and smashed into a grove of trees in Clark County Wednesday night.
Investigators said the truck was likely speeding when it crashed around 7:30 p.m. on the L1400 road about a mile east of Rawson Rd.
“When units arrived, they found one truck that had left the road and struck a couple trees at a high rate of speed, both occupants managed to extricate themselves from the vehicle prior to the fire district's arrival,” said Battalion Chief Dave O'Brien.
The two people inside the truck both sustained injuries and were transported by ambulance the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
Names have not been released and no citations have been issued at this time.
