PORTLAND -- A pedestrian suffered head injuries in a hit-and-run collision late Monday night at North Columbia Boulevard and Bank Street.

Teairra Benjamin, 21, was taken to the hospital with traumatic head injuries, said Sgt. Pete Simpson. She was expected to survive, he said.

A witness said a smaller, black SUV was westbound when it hit her. The vehicle left the scene.

Simpson said the SUV may be one that was seen parked in an apartment complex west of the crash and they are investigating.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information was asked to contact police via CrimeTips@PortlandOregon.gov.
