PORTLAND, Ore. -- A pedestrian was struck and fatally injured by a car Sunday night in southeast Portland.
Police said Jeffrey Paul Waldrop, 54, died on the way to a hospital before 10 p.m.
The driver remained at the scene at 65th and Southeast Foster and cooperated with investigators.
A witness told KGW it appeared that the victim had been walking across the street, from one bar to another, when he was struck. He also said the man was wearing dark clothing.
