LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. – Lockdowns at Oak Creek Elementary, Westside Christian High School and Westhills Montessori school were lifted Wednesday afternoon.

The schools went on lockdown between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m. after a parks department employee reported what sounded like a gunshot come from the Westlake Park area, said Sgt. Tom Hamann with Lake Oswego Police.

There are no reports of any injuries and police were sweeping the park and bringing in a K-9 unit to look for suspects or anything suspicious.

Police then concluded that the sound may have been a fire work.

Earlier, the Lake Oswego School District tweeted that all students were safe and will be held until the lockdown was lifted:
