PORTLAND – A foot of new snow fell over the weekend at Mt. Hood as snow levels dropped to below 3,500 feet.
It made for a great weekend to enjoy skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Hood Meadows with snow dropping at more than one inch per hour Saturday and Sunday.
The resort is now open every day and reported to now have a base depth of 38 inches.

Officials warn that Cascade passes may be snowy and to use caution when driving in snow and ice.
KGW Meteorologist Rod Hill said the snow level will go up Monday to around 4,500 feet and continue to rise through Tuesday.
