PORTLAND -- An FBI raid took place Wednesday shortly after 6 a.m. in Northeast Portland.
"I saw all the police cars come and the flashing lights and the FBI people going to the front door and saying 'FBI, we have a warrant, open up!'" said Sue Crites, who lives near one of the homes raided.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation was serving a series of search warrants Wednesday related to a violent crime case, according to spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele.
The warrants were served at 4820 NE 31st, 7129 NE 8th and 6846 N Greenwich. Steele said the warrants were sealed and she did not know their specific contents.
Agents spent several hours at the homes, taking photos and collecting evidence.
