FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Officers detained a man who ran naked through traffic in Forest Grove Thursday evening, police said.
Just after 6 p.m., an officer tried to stop the man running through four lanes of traffic near the 3400 block of Pacific Avenue, a spokesperson for Forest Grove police said.
More police came to assist as the man continued to run between cars, stopping traffic. Officers unsuccessfully used a Taser, and the man, later identified as 25-year-old Sampson Johnson, ran into a field where he was tackled and taken into custody, police said.
Johnson was taken to the hospital for treatment of a possible drug overdose. He was cited for disorderly conduct and interfering with police.
