FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Additional charges have been filed against a Forest Grove man accused of child sex abuse and his bail was raised to $1.5 million Tuesday, authorities said.
Detectives are also searching for additional victims following the arrest of Steven Douglas Rockett, 44, on Thursday.
Rockett engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with three sisters between the ages of 8-12 in Aloha, according to Sgt. Bob Ray with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives were also told Rockett solicited nude photographs from at least one of the girls, Ray said.
Investigators believe Rockett engaged in sexual conduct with numerous underage victims for many years, and have investigated him for the past 14 years, Ray said.
Authorities were unable to gather enough evidence to charge him until Thursday, Ray said. He faces rape, sodomy and sex abuse charges.
Rockett has traveled extensively, including internationally and detectives are searching for additional victims.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 503-846-2500.
