PORTLAND -- Fire fighters and a haz-mat team were dispatched to a molten metal spill in Northwest Portland.

The alarm came in around 2:50 p.m. to the Esco Corporation.

The building was immediately evacuated. Fire fighters were concerned about electrical lines in the plant and whether water on the metal would create an explosion.

The alarm was recalled at 3:12, with crews remaining on the scene. There were no apparent injuries.
