LEBANON, Ore. -- A man in Lebanon was killed Saturday afternoon while driving a tractor on his family farm.
A spokesman for the Linn County Sheriff's Office said they were called to the home of Robert Fred Meyer, 88, around 3 p.m. on the report of a tractor crash.
Deputies determined that Meyer had been on the tractor trying to clear brush when he rolled down a 15-foot embankment.
Meyer was alone at the time of the crash and was found pinned under the tractor a short time later by members of his family.
The Lebanon Fire Department assisted the sheriff's office. Huston-Jost Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
