PORTLAND – A man stormed into a Southwest Portland bar early Tuesday and robbed the customers at gunpoint while a surveillance camera was videotaping everything.

The armed man hit the 45th Street Pub & Grill along SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway just after midnight.

The surveillance video shows him barging in, pointing a gun and ordering three customers to get down on the floor.

Then, the man went behind the bar and ordered the bartender to open the cash register. He took about $6,000 and fled.

No one was hurt.

It was the bartender’s first time working the night shift. The owner of the bar said everyone inside the pub was terrified.

"It was a dangerous one [robbery]. He had a gun and there were people here," bar owner Carolyn Miller said.

The suspect was described as standing about 6-foot-1-inches tall, weighing around 220 pounds. He was wearing an olive green hooded coat, a mask, sunglasses and gloves.

Anyone with information that may help investigators capture the robber was urged to call Portland police.
