PORTLAND -- A man was found lying in a Southeast Portland street Friday afternoon, dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
Sgt. Pete Simpson said the man, 57, was found "surrounded by blood with a gun lying on top of him" around the 7800 block of Southwest Flavel Street.
The victim had apparently been in an argument with his wife at a residence nearby. He walked outside and shot himself, said Simpson. He said the event was an "apparent intentional act."
