PORTLAND - A man pulled out a woman who was pinned in wreckage after a semi overturned onto her car on Portland’s Marquam Bridge Tuesday.
Mark Cole was driving a rear steering unit of the extra-long trailer semi when it crashed, and rolled over.

The semi had dumped its load, a 170-foot, 75,000-lb. steel I-beam covered in concrete, on top of a Volkswagen, crushing the car. Both the semi truck and the car burst into flames.
Cole crawled out of his end of the rig and pulled 23-year-old Dana Buice from the wreckage.
"I looked over the beam and there's a young woman sitting in there and she's screaming and scared obviously," Cole told KGW. "I kind of straddled the window and pulled her out and I carried her across the road."
He ripped away portion of his t-shirt as a bandage for the Buice's hand. She was bleeding from a cut about the size of quarter, but otherwise seemed okay, Cole said.
