PENDLETON — Authorities have begun a homicide investigation into the disappearance of an Idaho man who traveled to Oregon last month on his motorcycle for the Chief Joseph Days rodeo and celebration in Joseph.

The family of 40-year-old Isaac Lee Roberts of Coeur d'Alene is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading investigators to him.

His wife reported him missing July 29.

The State Police said in a statement Wednesday that investigators have identified two people they describe as "persons of interest."

The police said Roberts may have traveled to Lewiston, Idaho, with one of them and disappeared on his return trip under what the police called suspicious circumstances. The police said Oregon authorities have asked for help from the FBI.
