PORTLAND – A man was killed and three others were injured in a traffic crash south of Woodburn Friday night, police said.
At around 10:30 p.m., 21-year-old Marcos Ramos-DeJesus of Newberg was driving a Honda Accord northbound on Highway 99E near milepost 34 when he crossed the centerline and hit a Jeep Liberty driven by Alma Berber head on, said Lt. Gregg Hastings with Oregon State Police.
Ramos-DeJesus was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers in the Honda, 21-year-old Francisco Martinez and Victor Rojas-Marcelino both from Newberg, were seriously injured and taken to the hospital, Hastings said.
Berber was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Investigators were working to determine the cause of the accident.
The accident was one of three on Highway 99E on Friday and early Saturday.
