EDDYVILLE, Ore. – An Albany man turned himself into police Friday morning after he was indicted last week related to a double fatal crash on Oct. 25, 2012.

Investigators with Oregon State Police said a pickup truck driven by Wallace Beaver, 45, of Albany (pictured) was traveling westbound on Highway 20 near Eddyville when it crossed the center line on a curve and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Aveo.

A father and his daughter were killed in the crash. The woman’s 2-month-old baby survived in his car seat.

Daniel Loper, 57, and his 34-year-old daughter, April Loper from Toledo were pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman’s infant son was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis with possible injuries.

Beaver was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
