PORTLAND -- An argument led to a shooting death early Wednesday morning outside a strip club in Northeast Portland's Cully neighborhood.
Officers were dispatched to Club Skinn at at 60th and Prescott about 2 a.m. after reports of multiple gunshots, said Sgt. Pete Simpson.
Anton Lashawn Hill, 33, died and a 21-year-old woman was taken to the hospital. She was expected to survive. A suspect fled from the scene on foot. He could not be found, Simpson said.
Hill's uncle spoke with KGW at the scene.
"My son told me that (the victim) and shooter had a few words and one thing led to another," said Ray Lamkins. "Before I know it the guy pulled a gun and started shooting. His girlfriend got shot in the arm and my nephew was shot in the head."
"There's too many youngsters that got these guns out here. You don't know who's packing and who ain't," he added. "Once you get into an argument, then all of a sudden they're pulling guns. And pulling triggers."
