It happened around 9:45 p.m. at the southbound exit to College Way.
State Patrol spokesman Keith Leary said two troopers who were following each other in their marked patrol cars were exiting at College Way when the victim crossed in front of the first trooper.
The unidentified victim died at the scene. Nobody else was hurt.
