LEBANON – A man accidently shot himself in the hand and another man in the forearm while negotiating a gun-for-tires trade near Lebanon Friday, deputies said.
Around 11:30 a.m., 23-year-old Brandon Butler and 31-year old Anthony Catullo were talking about trading tires for a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol on a logging road near McDowell Creek Park.
While discussing the trade, Butler tried to show Catullo how to disassemble the gun when it went off.
The bullet grazed Butler’s hand and hit Catullo in the forearm, shattering a bone, deputies said.
Authorities said alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident.
The two men were driven to the hospital, and no charges were filed.
