BEAVERTON – A 71-year-old man drove his compact SUV into a Beaverton home after he suffered a medical problem early Sunday morning, deputies said.
Around 7 a.m., Dennis Lamm drove his Chevrolet Equinox completely into the living room of a one-story house at 13940 SW Domino Street, said Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Three people were home at the time of the crash but no one in the home was injured. The homeowner told authorities he usually sits in the spot where the van crashed through the house.
The home, located at the “T” intersection of Southwest Domino Street and Southwest 139th Avenue, was right in the path of Lamm who did not turn while heading down Southwest 139th Avenue.
After suffering a medical problem, Lamm hit a parked car, drove through the yard and then into the front bay window of the home. The vehicle did not damage the structural integrity of the house, Thompson said.
Lamm was taken to the hospital in an ambulance after rescuers got him out of the van. He was treated and released Sunday afternoon.
Lamm is not currently facing charges.
