VANCOUVER – Two people were hurt in Clark County when some fireworks that had been "modified" exploded, police said.

A man suffered several broken bones and an eight-year-old boy suffered minor injuries.

The man was transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center for treatment.

The boy was treated at the scene. Police said it happened outside a home on NE 121st Avenue in Vancouver just after 10:30 p.m.
