OREGON CITY -- Police said an 80-year-old Oregon City man walked with his cane and a double-barreled shotgun to a nearby bar to complain about loud music during a luau.
Witnesses said Baylis Youngblood pointed the gun at a patron of the Ice House Bar Saturday evening before walking away. Police said Youngblood had a 16-gauge shotgun and was carrying four shells.
The co-owner of the the bar, Linda Connors, said the party was just about to move inside when the man arrived.
"We've never had a noise complaint, so we didn't expect it," she said. "I don't want to see him go to jail for this. But a phone call would have fixed it."
Responding officers found Youngblood at his home about two blocks away and jailed him on charges of menacing and disorderly conduct.
