LEBANON, Ore. – Police believe a 26-year-old Lebanon man befriended and then raped several teenagers over a span of three years.

Troy Tyler was arrested Monday on numerous counts of rape and sex abuse and police think there may be even more victims who haven’t come forward yet.

“Tyler had befriended several girls between the ages of 13 and 17 years old, during the time of period of 2005 and 2008,” said Sgt. Kevin Martinez with the Lebanon Police Department. “Tyler is believed to have had numerous sexual encounters with some of these girls.”

Martinez said the investigation began after a 19-year-old woman contacted the Lebanon Police Department and said she and Tyler had a sexual relationship since she was 14 and Tyler was 20.

Tyler was arrested that night and booked in the Linn County Jail.

Martinez urged anyone with information about Tyler that could help in the case to contact Detective Shelly McInnes at 541-258-4329.
