PORTLAND, Ore. -- Six more flights from Portland International Airport to Midwest and East Coast destinations were canceled due to winter weather, according to the Port of Portland.
Snow storms continued to wreak havoc on most of the United States east of the continental divide. Out West, temperatures continued to hover well above normal, leaving many to wonder where winter went just days before the Winter Olympics were to begin.
Cancelations were mostly to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, New York City and Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C.
Mid-morning Wednesday there had already been six cancelations. Port spokesperson Steve Johnson said travelers should keep an eye on their flights because more could be delayed.
