ASHLAND, Ore. -- An Oregon trooper found 55 pounds of cocaine inside a car he pulled over for a routine traffic stop on I-5 Monday, police said.
The cocaine would be worth about $875,000 if sold on the streets.
The Nissan Altima was pulled over just south of Ashland for a traffic violation and a police K-9 found 25 bags of cocaine sealed within the vehicle, according to Sgt. David Beck with Oregon State Police.
The driver, a 57-year-old from San Bernardino, California was arrested for possession, distribution and manufacture of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $60,000.
