PORTLAND – Want could be better than a stack of delicious butter and syrup covered buttermilk pancakes? How about getting them for free?

On Tuesday Feb. 5, IHOP is giving away free short stacks of their buttermilk pancakes for National Pancake Day. The annual event is an effort to raise awareness and money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities.

The restaurant is asking guests who come in for free pancakes to make a voluntary donation the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which in Portland will benefit programs at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

The event goes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at participating restaurants in the Portland area.

Since the inception of National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP has raised more than $10 million and given away more than 14 million pancakes, according to statistics provided by IHOP.

Participating Restaurants:

4931 SE 82nd Avenue in Portland, OR

15935 SW Regatta Lane in Beaverton, OR

9840 NE Cascades Parkway in Portland, OR
