NEWPORT - Emergency repairs to Highway 20 from flood damage were completed ahead of schedule Friday.

The Oregon Department of Transportation said the section of road in Lincoln County washed into the Yaquina River.

The contractor, Road and Driveway Company of Newport, was able to complete repairs in two days.

Lanes were expected to be open late Friday afternoon.
