PORTLAND – Ronald Jacko, the driver in the hit-and-run incident in December that left 32-year-old Ryan Hendryx seriously injured, was sentenced to six months in jail and three years of probation on Tuesday.
The victim was crossing the intersection at North Vancouver Avenue and Weidler after leaving a Trail Blazers' game on December 13 when he was hit and seriously injured.
Police charged 28-year-old Jacko with failure to perform the duties of a driver and tampering with evidence.
Hendryx was hit hard enough to go up onto the hood and shatter the car’s windshield, according to police.
Investigators eventually found the vehicle, which had already received a new windshield.
